The traditional use of calendula is internal and external. Marigold is most commonly encountered as an ointment or poultice. The external action of calendula is legendary.
Calendula has an effect on the overall refreshment of the body. A beneficial effect has been noted on the skin - it has a healing effect. Calendula contributes to the maintenance of normal intestinal and liver functions, and is helpful in normalizing the respiratory system.
Traditional use: pour 250 ml of hot water over two teaspoons and leave to infuse for 15 minutes. Never boil calendula flowers! Take 2 times a day.
Ointment: In a water bath, melt 250 ml of coconut fat and put about 10 g of the flower. Leave to macerate for approximately 2 hours until all the substances have passed into the ointment. Then strain through a stocking and leave to solidify in desired jars. We get a first-class marigold ointment.
