Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) is an old Native American herb native to South America.

Passion fruit is a fast-growing, perennial herb growing to a height of 40 cm. Its stems are smooth, sometimes hairy, but always long and climbing with many side tendrils. The leaves are alternate, complex, palmately folded, trilobal or occasionally five-lobed and quite large (measuring about 6–15 cm in length). It has characteristic glands at the base and at the petiole. Passion fruit has five blue and white petals. The crown is white and purple.

For phytotherapeutic purposes, flowering leaves are collected - passion fruit blooms during July. The interesting thing is that it blooms only one day. The herb has a relaxing effect and affects the quality of sleep. It is able to release stress.
